Happy becoming a Mother day!

Honouring Your Mother Journey With Care

Your becoming a Mother Journey

Becoming a mother is a deeply transformative experience, touching so many layers of your inner world and outer world. From the moment the wish lived in you, to conception, to navigating pregnancy, birth, early motherhood, your relationship with your baby, and the evolving dynamic with your partner - every step carries its own uniqueness, significance, and gentle movements inside.

This program, Happy Becoming a Mother Day, offers a soft, supportive space to be with the feelings and experiences connected to you becoming a mother - the ones that may still be asking for presence, warmth, and a loving, listening ear.

When Your Child’s Birthing Day Comes Close

Around your child’s birthday, feelings can naturally rise to the surface. This time of year can gently bring you into connection with experiences, memories, and inner movements that may still be living inside you. That is why I believe this can be such a meaningful moment to consciously be with them - to give them space, to express what wants to be expressed, and to let it be met with warmth and presence.

This program also supports you in staying close to what truly matters around your child’s birthday, turning it into a celebration of both your child’s life and your own motherhood journey.

How this program works

You can of course explore your Becoming a Mother Day and your child’s birthday at any time of the year, and this program is self‑paced. Still, I gently recommend doing it around your actual birthing day - starting a little beforehand. There is something magical and fruitful about the time around the moment and day you became a mother.

After signing up, I will ask you a few gentle questions - for example, what flowers you love, or something that is dear to you. For older children, there is also a printable booklet with questions they can answer to share their experiences and wishes. Partners and siblings can also be part of this journey, making it a whole family experience. I want this to be truly personal, and I enjoy creating PDFs that are uniquely made for you, your child, and your family.

You will receive PDFs that you can print out or connect with on your computer.

Your PDF contains self‑reflection questions that help you connect with the areas and parts of your becoming‑a‑mother journey that would love to be heard and included. It also offers practices and invitations that can be supportive and nourishing during this tender time.

What is nourishing too is that I’ll be by your side throughout the time around your Becoming a Mother Day.

For about two weeks, you’ll be able to connect with me on Messenger (or another platform) with anything that would love to be held and heard - around your Becoming a Mother Day and your child’s birthday. I will be by your side throughout this journey.

We will meet on Zoom for 60 minutes during these weeks together. This will be your time to share, or to connect more deeply with the feelings that would love to be included and heard.

This program doesn’t include much Aware Parenting theory. Though in the PDF for your child, there are invitations and suggestions that hold the Aware Parenting approach. I created your PDF with the intention to support you in your healing journey. Of course, offering a space to explore your past and let some feelings move is also part of Aware Parenting.

I created the PDF for your child to give you insight into what is present for your child - to help you stay close to what lives in them, to connect with your child over their birth story through talking or play, to explore what they would really love around their birthday, and to offer questions that open a window into their inner world.

The PDFs available for siblings and your partner do the same. They offer questions and invitations to connect with all that lives inside them around this time of year - around their brother or sister, or their Becoming a Father Day.

This program can support you in creating a meaningful family tradition around birthdays.

I’ve always loved turning our son’s birthday into something special, and many of the ideas I offer in this program are things we have done and still do - like the birthday week. Some years ago, I came up with the idea of having birthday weeks: a week to do all the things one would love to do on their birthday, but spread out over several days. I found that this takes away pressure and expectations on the actual day. It has become a tradition in our family.

This program actually started with me making a Happy Birthday booklet for my son. I created it for him to connect with him in the days leading up to his birthday - to find out his wishes and needs, to learn about his world, and to connect with him over his birth story.

Later, I also made a booklet for myself. The questions in it helped me reconnect with my pregnancy and my becoming‑a‑mother journey so far.

I realised how meaningful it can be to consciously connect with these special days - for ourselves, for our children, and for our families. From there, it grew into an offer for you, your child, and your family.

I love being by your side, and being with your processes and the feelings that may arise around these special days in our lives.

Why I created this program

  • ""I highly recommend the „Happy becoming a mother“ course with the warm and loving support of Vivian. The course showed me how magic the time around birthdays is. And invited me to open a safe space for my upcoming feelings. I had really beautiful insights and I am deeply thankful for all the healing I experienced. Go for it! ""

    Andrea

  • "Having completed both of Vivian’s birth and birthing day courses, I can say that I’m so glad I took part. Tensions and dread around both my own birthday and the day I gave birth have dissolved and have been replaced with lightness, ease and presence. The caring, incisive questions really helped me uncover buried memories and feelings causing difficulties in the present and the included counselling time with her loving presence and access to messaging helped release those areas of stuckness. I recommend the courses to anyone who feels difficulty around those dates."

Aware Birthdays

Joss Goulden once invited me to speak on her podcast Aware Parenting Stories, where we talked about our Becoming a Mother Days, birthdays, our children’s birthdays, the impact our birth stories can have on our lives, and how transformational and healing the time around - and on - our birthdays and giving birthdays can be.

If you would like to listen to that episode, clicking on the image will take you there.
