Attachment Play with Vivian

A gentle, playful, deeply nourishing and healing path

An 11‑week exploration into connection, play, and emotional healing

In this online course, I would love to take you on a journey. On this journey, we explore the 9 types of attachment play. Attachment play is a part of Aware Parenting created by Aletha Solter. This type of play offers deeply connecting and nourishing ways for children to experience being seen, safe, and supported.

It gives them a gentle - or wild, or silly - connecting space to freely express what lives inside of them. This helps them learn about themselves and the world, about human interactions, resolve daily frustrations and irritations, bring in more cooperation and joyful moments together, and process and heal from painful experiences - experiences that often lie underneath behaviours we find challenging to be with or to support in the most helpful way.

And woven through the entire journey is something that has been an important part of my own personal journey, and that I believe is profoundly powerful and healing as well: including your own inner experience, parts, and feelings in the connection and play with your child. So that you - your feelings, your parts - also experience being welcomed and included, exactly as you are and where you are at in that moment. This makes the journey nourishing and healing not only for your child, but also for you and all your inner parts. This is not something Aletha Solter writes about in her books, but it has been a very meaningful part of my own path.

Together we open space for more connection, more ease, more joy, and more emotional release in everyday life - for yourself, and for your children.

A playful doorway into deeper connection and healing

A transformative 11‑week exploration into connection, play, and your own inner world

This 11‑week journey is an informative, self‑discovering, and potentially deeply transformative experience that can open an entirely new world for you.

You will discover that everyone can do attachment play- truly everyone. And you may discover that you already offer your child moments of attachment play - many parents do this intuitively, without knowing that these moments are part of attachment play.

Even if you currently feel resistance or discomfort when you think about playing, you can discover the seed within you, care for it, and gently grow into this. This journey is personal, spacious, and filled with warm connection and individual support.

You are warmly invited to join if you want to deepen your understanding of attachment play - for your child and for yourself. You will be part of a small group of parents, with space for all your questions, your feelings, and your experiences.

Would you like to experience how attachment play can support your connection with yourself, your connection with your child, and your everyday life as a parent?

I would love to walk this journey with you and share everything I know - including my own experiences. It will be an informative journey, but also a very personal one.

You will learn how to use play to help your child:

  • process painful experiences

  • prepare for upcoming events

  • release daily frustrations

  • elicit cooperation and teamwork

  • shift the energy in moments that can easily turn into unpleasant or painful dynamics for both of you

And how these moments can become connecting, playful, nourishing experiences - for your child and for you.

You will also learn to:

  • become more aware of what is going on inside of yourself

  • include your inner world in a connecting, accepting, and healing way

  • welcome and include your own feelings and parts into play, and express and process them

  • be more real and authentic in your connection with yourself and your child

  • turn moments of reacting into moments of presence and connection

  • be more appreciative of who you are and all you already do

  • that you are welcome and enriching exactly as you are

  • become more confident in your connection with yourself and your child

I am with you in every step of this potentially life‑changing journey. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you.

Who this journey is for

✧ Understanding the deeper layers of play

This journey is for parents who want to understand the deeper layers of play, and who want to bring more joy, connection, and healing into their home - and who want to understand how play can support emotional healing. This journey is also open to caregivers, grandparents, and anyone who supports a child and is drawn to this way of connecting.

✧ When behaviour is challenging for you

This journey is also for parents whose child shows behaviour they find challenging to be with, or when they don’t know how to support their child in a way that truly resonates - and who do not want to resort to rewards or punishments.

✧ When your own reactions are coming up

It is also for parents who struggle with their own behaviour and reactions - when you find yourself responding in ways you do not enjoy, more often than you would like.

✧ Honest and authentic connection

It is for parents who want to connect more honest and authentic with themselves and with their children.

✧ Including your inner world

Parents who want to become more aware of their inner world, and who want to learn how to include their own inner experiences, parts, and feelings into connection and play with their child - and who want to experience the deeply accepting and healing benefits this brings for themselves, their feelings, their parts, and the connection with their child. And who want to learn how including their inner world can make connection safer, more congruent, and more nourishing - for themselves and for their child.

✧ Staying congruent

It is for parents who want to keep offering a congruent message, even when they have uncomfortable feelings inside - in a playful and/or honest way.

✧ Inspiration and community

It is for parents who want to practice this aspect of Aware Parenting more, who want inspiration and ideas, and who love being part of a small community with the same intentions.

✧ New or experienced in Aware Parenting

It is for parents who are new to Aware Parenting and attachment play, and who want a gentle, spacious introduction - and for parents who already practice Aware Parenting and attachment play, but have the calling to deepen, embody another layer, or re-inspire this aspect of their connection with their child and with themselves.

✧ Reassurance and guidance

It is also for parents who need reassurance and guidance. Sometimes children bring certain themes, feelings, or experiences into play that can feel uncomfortable or may be unfamiliar for parents. Children often bring into play exactly what they need to process. You may not be sure how to meet, welcome, or include what your child is expressing or bringing into play - or whether it is “okay” or “appropriate.” In this journey, you will receive gentle reassurance that what your child brings into play is valid and meaningful, and you will learn how to welcome these moments in a way that feels connecting, and nourishing for both of you.

If you sign up, you will receive a short questionnaire. Your answers will help me understand where you are in your journey and what you are needing most at the moment, so I can contribute to you in the most helpful way possible.

I love this work, and I love Attachment Play - for our children and for ourselves - and I love supporting parents into a deeper, more nourishing connection with themselves and with their children.

Here for you if you want to join, and here for you too if you want to explore whether this journey resonates with you.

All sessions will be recorded and shared in the private Facebook group where this journey will be held.

I chose 11 weeks because I love journeys where you can truly connect, learn, explore, share, process, discover, and practice together - and have someone by your side so that things can gently land and unfold for you.

This journey is not just an intellectual learning experience. It has the potential to be deeply transformative - something that becomes more and more embodied over time, something that slowly settles into your being and your everyday life.

Why I offer this journey

My name is Vivian, I have been an Aware Parenting instructor for 10 years now, and earlier this year I became a Level Two Aware Parenting instructor. I love, and am deeply passionate about, this work. I also love attachment play, for our children and for ourselves, and I love supporting parents into a deeper, more nourishing connection with themselves and with their children. I also love hearing how these ideas unfold in the lives of parents I support.

When my son was very young, I began including my own inner world in our play - my feelings, my parts, my inner experiences. This made a huge difference for me: for my connection with myself, my parts, and my feelings, and for the connection with my son. It made our connection very real, authentic, nourishing, and healing for both of us.

My parts and feelings experienced that they were welcome too. I did not need to pretend they were not there or push them aside. I learned, and experienced, that I could include them. This helped me turn many moments into moments of connection that could have unfolded in a completely different way.

I also found that it made our connection more congruent. I began giving fewer mixed messages, which made the connection safer - for myself, and for my son. I believe children learn, in this way, that all feelings and inner experiences are part of being human. We do not need to be afraid of them, hide them, or pretend to be something we are not yet. They learn that it is safe to include their inner experiences and feelings in this way too.

I have supported many parents with play, and the reflections they come back with are so heartwarming. This is why I feel so passionate about sharing this with you.

If you would love to learn more about me, I invite you to take a look at my about me page.

If you would love to read experiences from parents who have trusted me on their journey, there are reflections on the home page, the working‑with‑me page, and some lovely words on the mentoring page.

A gentle side note

Of course, we do not always have it in us to be playful, or to include our inner world in a playful way. We all have unmet needs at times, painful feelings, or go through stressful phases. This is something I share about in this journey as well, and I share practical guidance for those moments too - the moments when play doesn’t seem available, when you are needing something different, or when you and your inner world need care before you can connect.

This is a natural part of parenting, and a natural part of being human.

You are warmly invited to contact me if you have any questions.
